Happy ending for poorly trees

You may have heard on the news about Ash die-back.

A horrid disease affecting the ash trees in this country.

To try and prevent the disease spreading further, landowners are felling trees with the disease.

Nick has been helping his son Keith this week with the felling of some ash trees on the farm where our yard is based.

Sad though this is - and let's hope new saplings are planted in their place - the felled trees are being added to our wood stock.

Ash is quick to season and is a great wood to burn.

So we will have some lovely wood to add to our loads in due course.
